Thursday October 1 - Halloween Pillows

Ages 5 - 11 Design, Create & Sew your very own Halloween Pillows.
Lesson Plan;
Week 1 - Sewing machine use, maintenance & trouble shooting, sewing a straight line, fancy stitches, threading machines & bobbins. All of this while creating a one of a kind scheduled project.
Session 1 - Thursday's, October 1 - October 29

We have discounted each class $5.00 when registering for the 5 week session. We very much encourage the sessions with so many design lesson to learn. All classes missed can be made up during this session or the following. You may join in on individual classes.
We are "sew" much more then a sew studio... we are a design studio.
That means each and every project is designed, planned, cut, pinned and machine sewn by your child.
In our 5 Week Session are weekly lesson plans are utilized while creating exciting project. Each project is completed and brought home each class. Each week the lesson learned the week prior will be reviewed and repeated in each and every class.
Our belief is the best way to learn is through repetition, no stress and fun.
Week 1 - Sewing machine use, maintenance & trouble shooting, sewing a straight line, fancy stitches, threading machines & bobbins. All of this while creating a one of a kind scheduled project.
Week 2 - Quilting & Applique's jumping straight into quilting is a great way to practice sewing straight lines, matching and combining fabrics then cutting into a silhouette as an appliques'.
Week 3 - Cricut, ink press & heat press. Designing on a Cricut is an art form in itself. your creative designs can be used on many different projects from vinyl wording, faces for stuffies, t-shirt and bag designs.
Week 4 - UpCycling old pieces of clothing into something new! You will be responsible for bringing in an item that no longer fits, is stained or a piece that means something dear like a dad's shirt or grandmas dress.
Week 5 - Zippers learning to install zippers takes the art of sewing straight lines. It is no longer a scary task. We use a safety foot and an easy beginners hack.
Thursday October 8 - Halloween Quilted Snakes or Dragons & Applique' T-Shirts

Ages 5 - 11 Design, Create & Sew your very own Halloween quilted Snake or Dragon
Lesson Plan;
Week 2 - Quilting jumping straight into quilting is a great way to practice sewing straight lines, matching and combining fabrics then cutting into a a stuffie, silhouette as an appliques'.
Thursday October 15 - Halloween Yard Flags

Ages 5 - 11 Design, Create & Sew your very own Halloween Yard Flags (hardware not included)
Lesson Plan;
Week 3 - Cricut, ink press & heat press. Designing on a Cricut is an art form in itself. your creative designs can be used on many different projects from vinyl wording, faces for stuffies, t-shirt and bag designs.
Thursday October 22 - Halloween UpCycling with quilted appliques'
with Trudi Savas
Ages 5 - 11 Design, Create & Sew your very own UpCycled Halloween Sweatshirt or T-shirt. Bring in an old or stained sweatshirt and make it new!

Thursday October 29 Design & Create Creepy Dolls

Ages 5 - 11 Design, Create & Sew your very own Zombie or VooDoo Doll. Love this project! It takes lots of creativity. Your designer will sketch out their design, find the fabrics, zippers, trims & bobbles to make their one of a kind creepy doll.
